I am 17 years old and just completed my junior year at Seattle Preparatory School. I am the captain of my lacrosse team and I love photography, outdoor adventures, animals and skiing. Right now, I am half way through my summer and less than two months away from my trip and I am so excited! Throughout the past several years I've done many different backpacking trips around Washington, Canada, California and Alaska, including summiting Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Shasta. I love to be outdoors and put myself in challenging situations. I thrive on the breathtaking peaks, winding trails and beautiful lakes. The intense scenery of the places I travel to only feeds my need for more. This will be the longest backpack I have ever attempted by length in time and distance. It will also be the highest altitude I've ever achieved. The challenge and beauty of this Everest Base Camp trek will definitely surpass all.
